Clean-Up Day 2018

By June 10, 2018 January 18th, 2020 No Comments

Clean-Up this year was, yet again, a great success with a good turn out. The estate has never looked so good and this is all down to a combination of the wonderful work done by our resident gardener Tom Kellegher and the ongoing work of the Committee –  and individual residents doing their bit. Everyone benefits from this community effort but it’s  real pity that more people don’t come out to support it. Every year, it seems to be the same people out – only about 5% of households.

We hope you enjoy the photos, compliments of Fionán.

If you weren’t available yesterday to help, anything you can do over the coming days and weeks would be appreciated. Ongoing work required includes tending to the trees planted in the footpaths, sweeping kerb edges, picking up litter etc. Some people only look after the area immediately outside their own house and that’s fine. However, please consider including an elderly neighbour’s house – or a house which is rented.

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday June 23rd for Family Fun Day – be sure to return your Application Form to Aislinn Daly at 24 Walnut Park!
