THE REAL STORY OF ULYSSES REVEALED
LOCATION: Drumcondra Library, Millmount Avenue, Dublin 9, D09 PT78
DATE/TIME: Thursday 16 June 6.30pm
DESCRIPTION: In celebration of James Joyce’s ULYSSES, Drumcondra Library hosts a special performance by the JOYCESTAGERS including readings from the book and much more in this its 100th year. This is an opportunity perhaps to gain new insights into one of the greatest novels ever written. The Real Story of Ulysses promises to be a light-hearted look at a literary treasure in the centenary year of its publication – literally staged in the surrounds of one time Joyce residence. So come along and celebrate Bloomsday 2022 with fellow north-side Joyce lovers.

THE IRISH CIVIL WAR: 2 PART LECTURE SERIES
LOCATION: Drumcondra Library, Millmount Avenue, Dublin 9, D09 PT78
DATE/TIME: Part 1: Thu 9 June, 18:30; Part 2: Tue 14 June, 18:30
DESCRIPTION: Two lectures to commemorate the centenary of the beginning of the Irish Civil War, with Dr James Curry Dublin City Council Historian-in-Residence. Dr Curry will cover two distinct periods of the war:
The Irish Civil War Part 1: From Treaty Talks to Fire at the Four Courts (Thu 9 June, 18:30)
The Irish Civil War Part 2: From Béal na Bláth to Arms Dump (Tue 14 June, 18:30)
