The 2011 Courtlands Fun Day was held on Saturday 18th June 2011. About 70 children took part in another great day with their parents, grandparents, neighbours and friends. It was great to see so many happy faces there, some supporting their children or grandchildren racing others just joining in a great community day!! We hope to always have the great support and that the residents will realise it is a day not just for children but an opportunity to catch up with friends and neighbours!

As in previous years, the Residents Association Committee held a raffle on the day. This years prizes were fantastic and included tickets for Take That, premium tickets for Croke Park, a top of the range bike, vouchers and wine. We would like to thank everyone who bought tickets on the day and to everyone who donated a prize. We would particularly like to thank the following businesses:

Andersons, Chilli Banana Restaurant, Croke Park, Drumms, EBS Drumcondra, Grange Motors, Mc Donalds, Tallaght Ford, The Grapevine, The Helix, The Ivy House, The Skylon Hotel Please support the local businesses that supported us!

We would also like to thank the Dublin Fire Service who came along and allowed the curious children on board the fire engine and to test out the hoses!

Also on the day the Residents Association Committee held a charity raffle. The prize was a miniature VW beetle. This was won by Deirdre Kelly and will come in handy for her grandsons! The charity chosen this year was the Marc Owens Medical Fund. A fund set up for a local boy who is fighting a serious illness. The charity is attempting to raise €1,000.000. The support for this raffle was overwhelming and raised €300.00, which has been passed on to the fund. We wish Marc and his family well.
